Surgeon Portfolio

The Surgeon Portfolio is a web application to support Consultant Surgeons in the collection, organisation and presentation of their lifelong professional information.

Specifically it will guide and support throughout the Appraisal, Revalidation and Recertification processes, simplifying wherever possible the steps needed to be successful achieve these professional hurdles.

Regional Surgical Advisers

A website for Surgical Advisers in the UK. The site was built on top of a DotNetNuke CMS using C#. The use of a CMS allows the administrators of the site to have control over the websites content.

Each Adviser has a Profile which can be updated by themselves or admin users. Trainee access for each Adviser Profile can be granted on a person by person basis.

Technologies used are C#, VB.Net and SQL Server 2005.

eLogbook

The Pan-Surgical Logbook was developed to support surgeons of all grades and all Specialties in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

I have been involved in implementing new functionality as well as modifying and improving existing eLogbook functionality. One project was to implement Single Sign On (SSO) solution to enable users to go from the eLogbook and other trusted sites without having to log on every time the user navigates between sites .

CPD Course Registration

Enables organisations to manage courses that they are running. Individual Courses can be scheduled for a particular day and duration as well as being able to associate eLogbook and external candidates to a Course.

When the Course has ended the candidates succesfully attended the Course they are then sent a certificate in PDF format and if they are an eLogbook user there eLogbook is automatically updated.

Implemented the 3 tier application using VB.Net 2.0 with a backend SQL Server 2005 database.

RCSEd Library

I was involved with the implementation of the main functionality including a backend maintenance section allowing the library staff to manage any request that come in from the website. Some of these request had a particular workflow from submission to completion.

RCSEd Museum

I was involved with the implementation of the main functionality including a backend maintenance section. This allowed the museum staff to upload images into the key collection/objects section. The image uploader was developed using jQuery enabling the user to crop the images creating a fullsize and thumbnail image.

Multiple Portal Websites

Working alongside the Business Analyst to set up new client branded portals based on the standard wrap platform. From initial Sales Demos to their actual Wrap Platform going Live.

AT Toolcentre

A website for selling DIY related products. I developed this alongside one other colleague. It was implemented using Visual Studio, VB.Net and SQL Server.

ProjectBrief

ProjectBrief is a workflow management system allowing collaboration, visibility, efficiency, accountability and detailed reporting. I developed this along side my colleages using 4D technologies.
